A clear first step

Find out what is buildup and what needs another solution

A shower can have soap residue, mineral deposits, stained joints and damaged sealant in the same area. We distinguish the visible conditions before discussing cleaning. Natural-stone walls and floors need a different approach from ceramic or porcelain tile.

Tell us about cleaners already used, persistent dampness and any loose tile or failing joints. We discuss a suitable test where appropriate, with no assumption that stronger chemistry is the right answer.

Tell us what matters most

Tell us the surface material, approximate area and the problem that bothers you most. Photos of the whole area and a close view of the marks help us discuss the right visit. Mention stairs, patio access and whether you want sealing as well as cleaning.

Highly experienced technicians explain the proposed work and any limits, so you can decide with a clear understanding of the service.

Start with the right diagnosis

Three questions that shape your shower service

What is the surface?

A marble or travertine shower cannot be treated as ordinary ceramic tile. The material and finish guide the assessment; appearance alone is not enough to identify them reliably.

Is it residue or a changed finish?

A surface film and a dull area caused by finish damage may look similar. Cleaning can address buildup; it cannot automatically reverse scratches or etched stone.

Are the joints sound?

Cracked grout, loose tiles and deteriorated caulk deserve attention before a cosmetic result is promised. A cleaning service is not a substitute for correcting a leak or a failing shower assembly.

Real work, real materials

The surface guides the method

Our patio footage shows tile-cleaning equipment in use on a floor. It is general process footage, not a shower case study or a claim that the same equipment is used on shower walls.

For your bathroom, we agree the accessible areas and a treatment suited to the actual surface. Photographs of the grout and any damaged joints make the first conversation more useful.

From inspection to handover

A plan matched to your surface

  1. Inspect the bathroom surfaces

Discuss tile type, grout condition, buildup and past cleaning attempts. Identify any issue that needs repair or a different service.

  2. Agree the treatment and work area

Set out the surfaces included, suitable test options and nearby fittings that need protection. Explain limits before work begins.

  3. Review and explain next use

Check the cleaning result with you. If an additional sealing treatment is agreed, give its specific drying and shower-use instructions rather than applying a floor-only rule.

Protect your investment

Keep the care routine matched to your shower

Use the tile or stone manufacturer’s recommended cleaner and avoid mixing household chemicals. Our general tile recommendation is neutral-pH cleaning; product compatibility and the shower material still matter.

After sealing, follow the instructions for that product before exposing the surface to water. A four-hour floor walking recommendation does not establish when a shower can be used.

Set the right expectations

Cleaning does not resolve water entry behind the tile, failed waterproofing or loose installation. Caulk replacement and regrouting are not implied in this cleaning estimate; ask us to clarify any extra work you need.

We do not promise every stain or dark joint will disappear. Some discoloration belongs to damaged material rather than removable buildup.

Useful answers before booking

Shower Tile & Grout Cleaning: your questions

Can you clean a natural-stone shower?

Tell us the stone type and send photos first. The shower needs a material-specific assessment; we do not assume that a tile-cleaning treatment is suitable for stone.

Does the service include new caulk or grout?

Those repairs are not automatically included. We identify the condition and clarify the agreed scope before you book.

Can dark grout be made a different color?

Grout color sealing is a separate service, subject to the grout condition and product compatibility. Cleaning is assessed first; color treatment is not a repair for failing joints.

When can I use the shower afterward?

We give instructions for the actual treatment used. If sealing is included, wet-use timing must follow that product; it cannot be inferred from the minimum floor walking time.

What should I send before the consultation?

Send an overall shower view, close-ups of the joints and marks, and the tile or stone identification if you have it. Mention leaks, loose tiles and products you have already tried.
