Loose grit and surface soil
Entrance routes and areas beside exterior doors may collect more grit. We look at the work area and condition rather than recommending the same attention for every plank.
A clear first step
Tell us the flooring brand or product if known and the cleaners used recently. The consultation distinguishes soil or residue from scratches, worn finish and other changes that cleaning may not correct.
A wood-look plank or stone-look vinyl floor is still a vinyl product. Its manufacturer’s care requirements guide suitability; appearance does not establish that a tile or stone treatment is appropriate.

Highly experienced technicians explain the proposed work and any limits, so you can decide with a clear understanding of the service.
Start with the right diagnosis
Entrance routes and areas beside exterior doors may collect more grit. We look at the work area and condition rather than recommending the same attention for every plank.
Streaks or a sticky feel may involve products left on the surface. Tell us the product names and any repeated applications before another treatment is chosen.
Scratches, changed gloss, lifted edges and gouges are different from removable dirt. We distinguish those conditions in the assessment.
From inspection to handover
Identify available manufacturer details and inspect the floor. Discuss cleaners, coatings and the appearance you want improved.
Explain suitable cleaning and limits, including any residue that needs further assessment. Clarify accessible areas, furniture arrangements and price.
Complete the scoped service and discuss the result. Provide care and return-to-use guidance that fits the actual product and treatment.
Protect your investment
Follow the flooring maker’s instructions for cleaners, tools and moisture. Remove loose grit before routine cleaning and avoid choosing an abrasive product simply because the floor looks dull.
For example, Shaw’s current vinyl guidance advises against abrasive, ammonia-based, vinegar-based and harsh products. Your own product’s care guide controls the appropriate routine; a rule for another floor is not automatic permission to use it on yours.
The service is not a promise to repair gouges, restore a damaged wear layer, replace planks or correct a lifting installation. Those concerns need a separate decision.
Vinyl is not stone-polished or automatically sealed as part of this estimate. Removal of an unknown coating or any additional treatment must be specifically assessed and agreed.
Useful answers before booking
We assess the vinyl product and manufacturer’s instructions. A method suited to tile is not automatically appropriate for a vinyl wear layer or plank installation.
Physical scratches or wear are different from soil and residue. We explain those limits rather than presenting cleaning as restoration of the factory finish.
Discuss the product and care guide with us before adding a treatment. Tell us about any polish or coating already on the floor.
Point them out during the consultation. Cleaning is not an installation repair, and damaged edges affect the scope and suitability assessment.
