Cause and age
A known fresh spill and an older unknown mark provide different information. Tell us when the spot appeared and how it has changed.
A clear first step
Send a close view of the stain plus a photo of the whole rug and its label. The first conversation is about the material, incident and realistic next step—not a promise that every mark will disappear.
If the mark may be dye loss, fiber damage or a reaction to an earlier product, we distinguish that from removable soil before recommending the work.

Start with the right diagnosis

Repeated chemicals, rubbing and soaking can alter the stain or the fibers. Share the products and steps already taken.
A treated patch can look different from an otherwise soiled rug. We discuss the whole piece so the desired appearance is considered in the scope.
Real work, real materials
Our photograph shows real cleaning work on an area rug. It is not labeled as a verified wool or synthetic-fiber case.
For your rug, material and construction must be assessed before a method is agreed. Location, floor protection and any moving or treatment arrangements are clarified in the scope.

From inspection to handover
Discuss the material, stain source, age and earlier products. Inspect the affected area and surrounding condition.
Clarify targeted work versus whole-rug cleaning and any material-specific limitations. Agree the scope and price.
Complete the agreed work, assess the visible result and give drying and follow-up care instructions.
Protect your investment
Follow the rug maker’s directions for routine care and spills. Avoid aggressive scrubbing or repeated soaking of an unknown fiber, and retain the label or purchase details for future assessments.
Drying and return to placement depend on the rug and treatment. Ask about the floor beneath it and do not assume that a rug is ready to cover a sensitive surface merely because the top feels dry.
Some marks involve permanent color loss or damaged fibers. Stain treatment is not a dye-restoration or rug-repair promise.
A successful treatment on another rug does not establish the outcome for a different fiber, dye or unknown mark.
Useful answers before booking
No blanket guarantee is made. Material, stain history and earlier treatments determine what may be realistic.
The surrounding condition, construction and pattern help assess the scope, not just the isolated mark.
Yes. Product names, repeated wetting and rubbing are useful information for the assessment.
Color loss is different from removable staining. We assess the condition without presenting cleaning as a recoloring service.
We discuss targeted work, suitability and how it may compare with the rest of the rug before agreeing the scope.
